The Mechanical Insulation Industry Professionals insulators workforce maintains and promotes genuine drug-free workplace practices, in large part through two programs:

  • U.S. Department of Labor's Drug-Free Workplace Alliance
  • Professional Craftsman Code of Conduct

As members of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers, our insulation workforce of installation technicians are members of the U.S. Department of Labor's Drug-Free Workplace Alliance, which aims to improve worker safety and health in
the construction industry through drug-free workplace programs.

Therefore, Mechanical Insulation Industry Professionals workers must always abide
by the drug and alcohol policies enforced on contractor worksites
.

Mechanical Insulation Industry Professionals contractors also encourage their workers to
take leadership in working with them to fashion drug-free workplace programs, which can include written policies, employee education, supervisor training, employee or member assistance programs (EAP/MAP) and drug-testing.


Drug-Testing Alliance

with our workers through Insulators Local 6, which further helps to support our total
